La Clusaz World Cup Report

The 30km Freestyle World Cup in La Clusaz yesterday didn’t go exactly to plan for the Australian Team. With assistance from slow skis both Callum and Ewan Watson were overlapped on the short 2.5km loop. Twenty-five men were overlapped or pulled out of the race. Continue reading

Sovereign Lake NORAM FIS races, December 11-12

Over in North America there are a bunch of Aussie crew getting stuck into some training and racing. Some of them went to Sovereign Lake for the NORAM event last weekend. Saturday was a classic sprint and Sunday was a distance skate.

Davos World Cup Report & Images

The Davos World Cup came and went on December 11 and 12, overall it was a solid weekend of racing for the Australians without any really exceptional results.  The best performances came from Callum Watson who was 74th in the 15km Classic and Esther Bottomley who was 63rd in the Freestyle Sprint. Bottomley 42nd in Dusseldorf World Cup

Esther Bottomley opened her World Cup season with 42nd place in the Sprint in Dusseldorf in Germany on Saturday December 4. Finishing 9.4 seconds behind the fastest qualifier Vesna Fabjan from Slovenia in the 1km time trial, Bottomley was 3 seconds outside of qualifying in the top 30 for the finals. Continue reading

Only hours after the finish of the 5/10km Swiss Cup the Australians are about to head to Davos. Briefly, the race went well for everyone except Ewan Watson, who after two falls and a black eye was forced to pull out of the race. Continue reading
