Spar Cup Beitostolen – Brief 5/10km Cl Report

Ben Sim and Mark van der Ploeg achieved Australia’s best results in the 5/10km Classic. For Ben this was his first distant race in Europe this year and his result of 50th with 99 FIS points is a solid start to his season. Mark was only 40 seconds behind Ben with just over 120 points. Esther Bottomley and Nick Grimmer also raced well achieving results similar to the standard they have been racing all season. Lescinska and Georgia didn’t feel great in the race but both gained their best classic FIS points for the season. Belinda Phillips and Chris Darlington were disappointed to be well off their best. d’Arcy Baxter finished and learned a lot from the experience whilst Rob Jones failed to make the distance.
