Tutt and Dewez in German Cup Sprint Finals.

Alasdair Tutt qualified for his first European final series in today`s German Cup held in Oberwiesenthal whilst Xanthea Dewez made her second final in two weekends of racing. Casey Wright from the Yarra Valley also raced well finishing 26th in the combined open and u20 female category.

The conditions were around -2 and snowing and the event was a classic sprint. The highlights from the day where Alasdair Tutt making the finals for the first time in Europe. “It was fun to have a finals race in Europe and to lead it for the first ten seconds” said Tutt after the race. As the quote explains Tutt had a great start and was able to hang with the leaders up the first hill and then stay somewhat in touch until the finish.

Xanthea Dewez also made the heats for the u18 women finishing in 27th. After finishing 8th in last weekends OPA Cup Dewez was a little disappionted but happy to have another opportunity racing against some of the best in the world.
