Anna Trnka qualifies for World Junior Championships

In a remarkable return to form Anna Trnka gained her best FIS points ever and fully qualified to race in every race of the World Junior Championships to be held in her fathers birth place of the Czech Republic.Anna qualified in the 5km skate German Cup event which was held in Oberwiesenthal on Sunday. Anna finished one minute and fifty five seconds behind the winner. Lescinska Grimmer was the next placed Australian followed by Xanthea Dewez, Ash Spittle then Casey Wright.

In the boys Lucas Bauer (overall World Cup winner) was the winner and Nick Montgomery was the fastest Australian. Nick continued his good form gaining a second sub 200 FIS point result in two weeks. Al Tutt was the next best Australian followed by Jackson Bursill. Tutty raced well and showed signs of returning to form.

The junior team will return to race in Oberwiesenthal in two weekends time.
