Offerdals Race Report etc.

The junirs/u23 team had one last hit out before departing Sweden for Middle Europe and World Championships. The race was a bit of fun in the woods around 40km north of Ostersund. In saying that a good field of locals turned out which provided some good racing for the team. All the Australian athletes looked fresh and snappy and like they are coming into good form leading into Val di Fiemme.

On a side note I would like to point out the exceptionality of our athletes off the sporting field. All the athletes in Sweden with the junior/u23 team are attending University and as off this week we now have two law students and TWO medical students on the team. The link between cross country skiing as a junior and academic success has not been proven but …

On top of this U23 athlete Jackson Bursill has developed, designed and just released his first app. It is called Maths Rulz and is available online for free at the App Store. It is linked to the Australian curriculum and designed to help high school students get better at math. If you are in high school or are just interested in what our athletes do in between training sessions go download the app. (This last bit is a shameless plug as Jackson makes money based on how many people download the app, he makes even more money if you click on an add, i recommend the dragon app, thanks to that app junior team athlete Xanthea Dewez is now the mother of many dragons.)
