Justoyota Stirling Hill Climb Report

At Mt. Stirling a warm week meant the start of the Hill Climb had to move further up the mountain as the great cover at low-levels earlier in the week deteriorated. Despite somewhat soft conditions, especially at the lower end, the organisers were delighted to see that the Stirling Ski Patrol had prepared an excellent course on the steep winding trails.  This meant the course became a bit of a sprint at least for the winner Rob Curtis, who managed to get to the GGS hut in under 22 minutes (300 m climb over 4 km).  Participants were rewarded with great views from the summit, fun and challenging descents and some amazing skiing among the Mountain Ash at lower elevations on the return.  In good snow Mt.
