This trip has introduced us to the philosophy of ‘training smart,’ that is, making adjustments in our daily routine that lead to noticeable improvements in skiing and recovery time. This involves midday resting, eating nutritious meals and ensuring that time on snow is utilised.

With less than two weeks until our debut on the racecourses of Canmore, this week has seen us turn up the intensity of our training sessions. Intervals have become longer, training hills have steepened and everyone is looking better than ever. The focus of our third week of training at base camp Silverstar has focused on increasing the pain threshold and pushing our limits.
