NEW DATES for Level 1 Coach – on-snow technique and assessment workshops

Looking to update your knowledge of ski techniques or kick-start your coaching qualification?

These on-snow workshops will introduce new coaches to race techniques, give them tips on how to teach the basics of race techniques and what to look for when assessing skier technique. For registered coaches it will be an excellent opportunity to update your understanding of technique, learn what’s changed and what we are focusing on in training in 2015. Freestyle and Classical techniques will be covered in different workshops. The workshop will also cover different methods of evaluating technique including apps and video footage. Please note that this is not an instructors course so an understanding of the different ski techniques is required.

The course is only available to registered coaches and instructors. If you would like to become a registered coach you need to complete the Australian Sports Commission Basic Coaching General Principles, online through the ASC website prior to attending the course. This also applies to instructors wanting to attend the course. A copy of the Coaching Principles certificate needs to be emailed to the National Coaching Director prior to the course: allison.c.stoddart@gmail.com Continue reading
